Terms of Service
Last updated: June 4, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or otherwise accessing the ALR Franchisee Portal (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
2. The Service
The Service is provided by Advanced Laser Restoration, LLC (“ALR,” “we,” “us”) to authorised franchisees, their designated employees, machine owners, prospective franchisees, and rental customers (collectively, “Users”). The Service includes franchise operations content, AI-assisted coaching, training materials, laser cleaning settings, safety-officer (LSO) training flows, community discussion, payment processing for the ALR Store, and related tools.
3. Accounts and Eligibility
Accounts are created and assigned by ALR or, where applicable, by a franchisee or machine owner on your behalf. You are responsible for: (a) maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials; (b) all activity that occurs under your account; and (c) immediately notifying ALR of any unauthorised use. You must be at least 18 years old and authorised by your business entity to enter into these Terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to: (a) reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the Service or its content for competing products; (b) upload malicious code; (c) share your credentials with anyone outside your authorised company team; (d) misrepresent your identity or franchise relationship; (e) use the AI Cleaning Helper or AI Sales Coach for unlawful or unsafe purposes; or (f) bypass any role-based access control. ALR may suspend or terminate accounts violating these provisions immediately and without prior notice.
5. Franchise & Confidential Material
Sections labelled “Franchisee”, “Operations Manual”, “Franchise Success Guide”, “Employee Success Guide”, sales programs, supplier pricing, the Quote Builder, and related material are ALR confidential information and may NOT be disclosed outside your franchise team. Misuse of this material is a material breach of these Terms and may also breach your separate Franchise Agreement.
6. AI Output Disclaimer
The Service uses third-party AI models (currently including Anthropic Claude and OpenAI) to generate cleaning recommendations, quotes, marketing copy, and coaching. AI output may be inaccurate, outdated, or unsafe. You must independently verify all AI-generated cleaning settings against the manufacturer’s manual and applicable laser safety standards (ANSI Z136.1) before operating equipment. ALR disclaims all liability for damages caused by reliance on AI output without independent verification.
7. Safety & Training
Laser cleaning is inherently hazardous. Users must complete and maintain a current Laser Safety Officer (LSO) training through the in-app course and upload a valid Certificate of Insurance. ALR may suspend access to operational content when training records are expired.
8. Payments (ALR Store and QuickBooks Payments)
Payments through the ALR Store are processed by Intuit QuickBooks Payments and/or Stripe acting as independent payment processors. By initiating a payment you also agree to the applicable processor terms. ALR is not the merchant of record for payment-processing services and does not store full card numbers. Refunds are governed by the seller terms shown at checkout.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, including all software, content, templates, AI prompts, course material, and branding, is owned by ALR or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service solely for its intended purpose during your authorised relationship with ALR.
10. User Content
You retain ownership of content you upload (community posts, photos, quote inputs, LSO certificates). You grant ALR a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and process such content as necessary to operate the Service. You warrant that your uploads do not infringe any third-party rights.
11. Termination
ALR may suspend or terminate your access at any time for any reason, including (without limitation) suspected security risk, non-payment, expiration of your franchise agreement, or violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections 4–12 survive termination.
12. Disclaimers; Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALR’S AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100) OR (B) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID ALR FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. ALR IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
13. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved by binding arbitration in that jurisdiction, except either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual-property rights or confidential information.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
